Hello Family,
Just wanted to update everyone. My internship is going well thus far, these first two weeks have flown by! I am having a good time and adapting to the very laid back European life. And yes it is just as expensive as I was told! The average lunch is about 15 dollars and the portions are not NEARLY as large as the U.S. (now I know why Europeans are so skinny lol).
The current project I am working on is called "Pharmaceuticals: Restrictions in use and availability." It will be a publication that will be used by World Health Organization member countries, especially within rural and poorer communities where access to drug databases is relatively limited. What's great about it, is the publication will go into print at the end of the month so I will actually have a hard copy of all the work that I have been doing over thus far. I know it sounds boring to yall but its very exciting work!
This weekend I did some exploring of local and old town Geneva and went on hike up Mt. Gure in the Swiss Alps (yea hiking is white people stuff, but it was fun.......for like the first 15 minutes, then you start to realize you're climbing a mountain and it gets hard lol). I hope to do some more travelling this weekend and plan on taking full advantage of my time here.
My cell phone number over here is +41 078 724 9411, just in case someone needs to contact me or you see it pop up on your caller ID.
I love you all. Take care!
Dominick
